It’s well known that trees improve air quality, reduce building cooling and heating energy use, enhance physical and mental health and generally improve people’s quality of life. Recently an international team of researchers from the U.S., Canada, and Australia quantified how much younger and financially secure trees can make you seem.
According to the results of the study the team published on June 9, 2015, “having 11 more trees in a city block, on average, decreases cardio-metabolic conditions in ways comparable to an increase in annual personal income of $20,000 and moving to a neighborhood with $20,000 higher median income or being 1.4 years younger.”
